Join [nueBOX]'s current StudioLAB Resident Artist Kayla "mokka" Tomooka for any of the three upcoming movement exploration workshops:
Friday, Jan 31st from 6:30-8:30pm: "If not now, then when" - a writing/movement-based prompt exploration
Friday, Feb 28th from 6:30-8:30pm: "move like that" - a writing/movement-based prompt exploration (a sequel to 'If not now, then when')
Friday, Mar 28th from 6:30-8:30pm: "wordless conversations" - a multi-media/movement-based exploration
***participants will need at least 15 photos or videos they're willing to share from their mobile devices for this workshop***
Each workshop will conclude with an informal showing and feedback discussion.

"My work is versatile and dynamic. As a mover, I enjoy blending contemporary athletic styles with waacking, house, vogue, breaking, and gestural movement. In collaboration with others, I prioritize incorporating their unique movement styles and comfort levels, allowing everyone to express their authentic selves. Through this process, we will explore various forms of expression, including dance, photography, film, and written media."
