Join us for a reading of Madam Pattirini, the Prophet’s Son by our studio/LAB resident Tommy Francesco. This work-in-progress musical delves into the stories of cross-dressing singers in 1880s Salt Lake City.
Based on true stories about the Mormon prophet Brigham Young and his son, B. Morris Young’s career as a female impersonator ‘Madam Pattirini.’ This comedy showcases selected original scenes interspersed with classical pieces by Mozart, Verdi, and Vivaldi, performed live by a talented countertenor, Nate Pence accompanied by Jenna Haney.
The 90-minute reading will be followed by a 30-minute feedback session
