In this class, advanced contemporary dance techniques will be used to facilitate research and development of both improvisatory and choreographed movement. Dancers will explore Power, Presence and Vulnerability as they practice maintaining at once both rigorous physical execution and persistent sensitivity to change.
All are advised to arrive at least 10 minutes early, and bring knee pads and warm up clothing that covers the whole body, as there will be an emphasis on floor work.
These classes are a 4-week series that will build off of one another each week. Participants must register for class in advance and commit to attending all 4 classes. If you are unable to make a class, please connect with Gina Jurek before registering.
